Please Read The Entire Auction Before Bidding. This auction is for a used ADCOM GFP 555 amplifier. I purchased this unit new in April of 1988 at Columbia Audio/Video in Arlington Heights, IL. The unit is in very good working condition but there are signs of normal wear. There are 4 chips / nicks on the top edge of face place and some of the screw heads on the case screws are a deformed. There also some spots to the inside of the power switch and near the distortion lights where the anodizing has flaked or been rubbed off of the faceplate. I don't see them until I get up close. There is no gauging of the aluminum faceplate just some small removal of the anodizing. I have supplied links to some pics if you care to see the defects. A few screw heads were marred up during the repair / replacement of the input jacks by Midwest Audio of Arlington Heights IL. Input jack is a known failure of this model and the new jacks are much more robust than old types. Midwest Audio is an authorized ADCOM Service center. If you are looking for a museum piece, this is probably not it. That being said, the unit is in good shape for it's age and the amount of use I got out of it. Other than the input jack repair/upgrade, the amp is in original condition and has given me no problems in the years that I have owned it.
