Up for auction is a pair of Altec 288C Drivers. Made from Alnico, these units are regarded as one of the best high frequency drivers ever made! I have been using these on Altec 805 multicells and they sound fantastic! I am open to all reasonable offers for this pair. These high frequency drivers are in good condition. However, given their age they are sold as is. Each driver has an original 24 ohm 20221 diaphragm. See images for DCR measurements. One 20221 has had the lead wires to the voicecoil rebraided. It works perfectly! Each driver has been swept from 500Hz up, and works with no buzzes or rubbing voice coil. Standard Altec 3 bolt mounting, mounting studs included. 1.4" throat. Packed weight approximately 12kg each driver. There are some marks and scratches on the driver bodies, and some minor surface rust. One unit has a bug screen, the other does not.  I can email larger resolution images upon request, please ask if needed! Postage and Shipping.
