THIS MARANTZ MODEL 250 AMP LOOKS INCREDIBLE AND SOUNDS EVEN BETTER. HAND BUILT IN THE USA TO THE HIGHEST QUALITY STANDARDS, IT'S OFFERED WITH NO RESERVE! This Marantz 250 power amp (SN 9600) is in beautiful condition and sounds fantastic. Hand made in the USA, it's one of the most highly regarded amps of its time. Rated at 125 watts per channel, this Model 250 not only works perfectly, it's an absolute joy to listen with. There are no traces of low level mechanical "hum" from the transformer (which is common for this model). This Marantz makes a wonderful presentation. All meter lights illuminate as they should and the meters respond perfectly symmetrically to dual-mono inputs. The front panel is unbent and free of any mechanical distortions. All lettering is 100% perfectly intact and the back panel is super-clean. There are no "stains" or other discolorations; however there's a small scratched area just to the upper left of the left channel 'meter off' switch & a hairline scratch halfway between a meter and the upper edge of the faceplate. All are clearly shown to scale in the detailed photos. The meter covers almost completely clear and the small amount of faint "swirling" is invisible from 6" away. There's no visible dust in the meters. Other than that, this legendary amp would be rated Near Mint. You won't be disappointed! The WC-2 wood cabinet shown is included. After we gave it a once over with steel wool and Howard Restor-A-Finish it's in satisfactory condition and should easily improve with further attention. Need more specs and info?
