Up for your consideration is a beautiful Thorens TD 124 MK 1 Turntable in excellent condition. This Turntable looks and plays flawlessly. This Turntable has the original Thorens tone arm with the lift mechanism. It is all original (the paint, the Mat) all original. It has a brand new Stanton 500 cartridge (not an expensive cartridge) but it sounds big and open on this Turntable. The plinth and cover are in excellent condition. The only cosmetic flaw is the original owner scratched his SS number on the front side edge of the deck.(I took a picture of the engraving but did not want to put this person's SSN for the world to see, even though it's barely visible). See all the pictures. This could be covered with a Thorens logo but it never bothered me and you don’t see it unless you look for it. There is slight fading of the lettering on the speed changer plate. I give this Turntable a 9 out of 10. This unit is Plug in and Play. No issues. It was being used when the pictures were taken. It is being sold as a working turntable with no issues. Refunds are accepted only if buyer pays for shipping. The plinth will be shipped in one box and the turntable with be shipped in another box with platter removed, the head shell removed, and the oil removed from the main bearing assembly.
