The XG-5 has three input impedance settings for more precise impedance matching, enabling it to match the performance of any moving-coil cartridge on the market. The coil windings have been fabricated by a special advanced method which ensures that the maximum benefit is obtained from the use of the high-quality toroidal cores in the transformers. As a result, the XG-5 has a wide frequency response without any peak at higher frequencies, in contrast to usual transformers, which exhibit a peak at around 75,000 Hz.
