Excellent home audio CD and mp3 player/recorder. Great for dubbing disc-to-disc or recording from any external source connected to your stereo. Inputs and outputs for optical digital, coaxial digital and analog connections. A perfect way to convert old record albums and cassettes into digital media. Recording level allows you to tweak the input strength for optimum sound without distortion. Also a cool device for creating sound bites from any source (TV, DVD, etc.). This item cost ~$400 when I bought it new and can be yours for much, much less. Great for parties, too. Since both drives play independently, you can choose to shuffle tracks back and forth between the two trays or play both at the same time to "mix" a song playing on one drive into a song from the other drive for nonstop music. The doors did want to stick when I opened them for the first time after sitting for so long, but after opening/closing the trays a few times, they worked perfectly. The only cosmetic flaws are 1-2 very superficial surface scratches on the top metal cover (so light that they don't penetrate the paint) and a couple of shiny spots on the matte finish plastic on the front of the unit. These were caused from moving the unit, not from abuse. The glossy plastic display is flawless and still has its original luster. The unit looks very classy when turned on and lit up. Check my feedback--everything I sell is in great condtion because I take excellent care of my electronics. Auction includes player/recorder, remote control w/batteries and owner's manual.
