KLIPSCH HERESY SPEAKERS HWO-PAIR Picture and Description:
Up for auction is a beautiful pair of Klipsch Heresy speakers from 1983. You will be hard pressed to find a pair of Heresys in better shape than these. They have been well cared for and never abused. I am the 2nd owner. These were purchased from Almas Hi-Fi in Dearborn Michigan in 1983 This pair of Klipsch Heresys is type HWO - that means they have a natural oiled walnut finish. The finish is in near perfect condition. It has been periodically oiled to keep it looking great. But as good as these speakers look, they sound even better. Both speakers are all original, with the exception of the speaker wire connectors. The small speaker wire connection screws that Klipsch used when these speakers were made have been replaced with high quality binding posts, typical of what Klipsch and most other high end speaker manufacturers use today (see photo). The binding posts provide an easier, more secure connection and make it more convenient to use heavier 12 gauge speaker wire. The speakers are sitting on the optional level riser to lift the cabinets an inch or so off the ground. With the risers, each speaker measures approximately 13.5" (width) X 22.5" (height) X 15.5 (depth). They weigh 47 pounds each. Serial number are 138x692, 138x693 The speakers are located in Chicago, Illinois. Because of their size and weight, local pickup is preferred, but they can be shipped as long as the purchaser covers the packaging and shipping cost. If they are shipped, I will have them professionally boxed in two separate boxes. Shipping Insurance will be required. I will not charge anything additional beyond what it cost me to have the speakers boxed and shipped. I am guessing that shipping cost will be around $100, possibly more. I will use Fed Ex.
