Linn Sondek LP12 A fantastically beautiful and very original Linn Sondek on offer here in super working order and with what I think is a walnut plinth. The walnut plinths are quite rare so I have not seen very many LP12s with them. This is the original version of the Linn Sondek and these do sound far more musical than the later 'upgraded' versions which were designed to compete with the CD sound and were never as warm. It comes with an armboard cut out for an SME 3009. I can swap this for a standard Linn armboard for the Basik, Akito, Ittok or Ekos arms if required. The hinges work perfectly and hold the lid up as they should. The lid is well above average and looks really very good indeed. The plinth is in beautiful condition with a lovely grain definition and fantastic patterning. It was very difficult to get these images because of the bright sunlight when I took them and the many reflections in that lovely dark lid. Even the back of the plinth is beautiful and the Linn label is in perfect condition. I will be shipped with a bearing housing protective cap, these are usually missing and the bearing housing become easily contaminated. It comes boxed in an original Linn box and this will be double boxed for additional protection during shipping. I have shipped dozens of Linn Sondek's and this will arrive safe and sound. It will be supplied an electronic copy of the user manual, Linn dealer set up manual and Linn cartridge mounting instructions.
