Mccormack DNA-1 Deluxe amplifier Excellent Condition Picture(s) and Description:

Mccormack DNA-1 Deluxe Power Amplifier This amplifier is in excellent condition. It pains me to part with such an amazing amplifier that has served me so well but I'm in the process of converting to a multi-chanel system and no longer have a need for the DNA-1. The amplifier will be shipped in the original box with the original packing material. Includes the original manual and power cord. The difference between the standard DNA-1 and the deluxe model includes Cardas RCA jacks and binding posts, van den Hul output wiring, and upgraded Caddock ad Vishay resitors. The difference in sound when I auditioned the deluxe vs. the standard was nothing short of amazing. The deluxe version was well worth the $350 extra dollars at the time of purchase. Robert Harley's 3/95 review in Stereophile says it all: "What is without question, however, is that the DNA-1 Deluxe is an extraordinary amplifier for its price. The Deluxe had a natural, musical, and easygoing sound that belied its affordable price. In particular, the Deluxe didn't have the typical mid-priced solid-state sound of a metallic treble, hard midrange textures, and limited soundstage depth. Instead, the Deluxe was smooth, liquid, transparent, and spacious. I also greatly enjoyed the Deluxe's tight, articulate, and tuneful bass. Finally, the Deluxe had excellent dynamic capabilities and a strong rhythmic drive. The icing on the cake was the Deluxe's beautiful build quality and layout. The internal wiring and construction are meticulous, inspiring a feeling of quality and pride in craftsmanship. While not in the same league as the $12,000/pair Audio Research VT150 tubed monoblock, the $2355 McCormack DNA-1 Deluxe is hard to criticize for its price. In fact, the DNA-1 Deluxe is one of the great bargains in high-end audio."—Robert Harley Specifications: • Output Current: 50 Amps peak, per channel• Output Power at Clipping, both channels driven RMS Watts per channel: 185 Watts @ 8 ohms, 370 Watts @ 4 ohms, 600 Watts @ 2 ohms • Input Impedance: 100K ohms • Input Sensitivity: 1 Vrms • Frequency Response: -3db @ 0.5 Hz, 250 KHz • Risetime: 100 • Output Impedance: <0.1 ohm • DC Offset (Servo-controlled): <5mV • Signal Polarity ("Absolute Phase"): Non-inverting • Power Requirements: 100-117 VAC/60 Hz, 1.2 Amps/130 Watts @ idle, 3.5 Amps/400 Watts @ clipping • Power Requirements: 220-240 VAC/50 Hz, .6 Amps/130 Watts @ idle, 1.8 Amps/400 Watts @ clipping • Dimensions: 19" wide, 7" high, 15" deep • Shipping weight: 60 lbs.
