McIntosh MC 2105 Solid State Amplifier Picture(s) and Description:

The McIntosh 2105 is one of the second generation solid state amplifiers produced by McIntosh. This particular model was built between 1967 and 1977 and is rated by McIntosh at 105W/channel. I purchased the amplifier from a local dealer approximately fourteen years ago and have been using it to drive a pair of B & W floor standing speakers. The walnut cabinet was purchased from an online vintage audio dealer five years ago. The amplifier is in excellent working condition. Cosmetically, the front panel is virtually flawless, with no scratches or cracks in the glass. The finish on the top of the amplifier does show signs of age, however (see picture #3). Needless to say, the blemishes have no effect on the amplifier performance and are not, of course, visible when it is in the case. (They were present when I purchased the amp.) The walnut case has a fairly noticeable blemish on the top and some scratches on the top edge (see pictures #5 and #6), all of which can easily be repaired by re-oiling the case. It also does not have Panloc locking brackets, which can be purchased from any number of audio vendors online if desired (I did not find them necessary given the weight of the amplifier). Please note that this is a VERY heavy amplifier (more than 70 lbs. with case).
