71372304470564040 PAIR OF McINTOSH MC 30 MC30 TUBE POWER AMPS AMPLIFIERS

For your consideration yet another pair (not a relist, this is a just-restored item) of superb sounding MC-30 tube power amplifiers from McIntosh. The MC-30s are considered by most McIntosh cogniscenti to be the sweetest sounding of all macs, and hence among the best sounding tube amps in vintage audio, period. Tubes are: 12 AX7 -- FOUR Telefunken 12AU7: TWO RCA CLEAR TOP; 12BH7: TWO RCA 5u4 rectifiers: 2 x GE; 6l6 (output tubes) : 2 current-draw-matched pairs for proper self-biasing Sovteks. All tubes tested and strong of course. Note that each amp is outfitted with the same, mathcing tube complement. I doubt you will find a similar pair anywhere: they have been completely restored down to the finest details: a- cosmetically: both chassis re-chromed and re-silk-screened; transformers professionally sanded and painted; base of each amp was sander and powder-coated. They look like it's 1959 and you just brought them home from the store!!!! Note that one of the amps has two small drill holes in left side/top of chrome chassis. see pics for details. b: electronically: All electrolytics inside have been replaced; All caps inside have been replaced with audiophile grades NOS paper in oil, Sonicap, Solen, Nichicon Polyesters, etc. with the exception of the final pair of coupling caps which are the original, super sounding and extra long lasting Sprague 160P black sleeve, etc. ; all resistors were measured and any that had strayed more than 10% were changed. All replacement parts are of the exact same value as McIntosh's original design. They are both dead quiet and sound as good as they look. No hum, no noises of any sort....A remarkable listen... Note that all the parts that were pulled from amp will be sent along to buyer if he/she desires (all Bumble Bee caps, etc., most leaky or short....) Also included: laser printer/scanned copies of owner's manual and Sam' Fotofact. They are currently playing. Excellent. Exciting. Engaging. S W E E T M U S I C!!!!! here are the specs found on Roger Russell's excellent McIntosh site: ELECTRICAL: 30w. Response 20-30kHz (+0.1 -0.1dB). Distortion 0.5%. Noise & hum -90dB. Late versions supplied with variable damping control. MECHANICAL: Chrome chassis. Octal socket powers McIntosh C-8, C-4, C104, or C-108 preamps. Barrier strip for 4, 8 and 16 ohms as well as 0.5V input. Line voltage tap for 117 or 125V. Audio input. Gain control. TUBES: 2-1614 output, 2-12AX7, 12AU7, 12BH7, 5U4. Size 8"H, 8"W and 13"D. More to Vietnam and Singapore I am afraid. For Europe, you're looking at around $320, depending on insurance, etc. For Canada, we're looking at $75 per amp. Sorry this is so high, but USPS now only offers Priority Mail...Fast, but E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E. _gsrx_vers_308 (GS 5.3.7 (308)) On Mar-09-10 at 02:43:05 PST, seller added the following information: SquareTrade © AP6.0
