Folks, before considering this auction, please note that we RESPECT THE PRIVACY of our customers----and soon, you may be one! We do not ask if they Drink, Smoke, Have Children, or Own Pets. And, as we are NOT 'technicians', or a 'repair shop', our ONLY concern is that the item is Working Perfectly. Period. If this is an issue for you, DON'T BID! We'll all be happier! And, of course, PLEASE remember that Payment, via Paypal ONLY, is due within 24 hours! Now THIS is a 'rare bird' indeed! The D4 is one of Yamaha's first Direct Drive (Magnetic Pulse) Turntables, and its Design has certainly withstood the test of time! Perfectly Operating, this is also highly sought after for its 'drop-dead' Gorgeous Looks----though without the ability to reproduce Vinyl Recordings as Accurately as is humanly possible, that nicety would be without meaning. But this D4 DOES perform at a level that would be considered VERY 'High-End' today, and there are not many folks who give these up easily. It is a 'Manual' Turntable (true high end models ARE 'manual'), though there is a 'cut' button, and the Tonearm will lift at the end of the Record. One of the really 'nifty' Features is Individual Pitch (Speed) Controls for each speed---33 and 45. The included Shure Cartridge/Stylus is Excellent, a nice match with the D4, and has thousands of hours of Musical Enjoyment in it before you even need to think about changing it! And, of course, the 45-Adapter is included. Cosmetically, well......what can we say that the photos don't?! We can find no scratches of any kind on the base/plinth, and there's only a few slight raises in the simulated wood veneer (so small, the camera couldn't really pick them up---we're just being 'picky'). The Dust Cover is also excellent---no chips, dings, or cracks whatsoever, and only the smallest of minor marks. Now, for those of you who are NOT familiar with assembling and setting up Turntables, please look at the last photo----and ONLY when you have one of those, should you feel free to bid.
