Folks, before considering this auction, please note that we RESPECT THE PRIVACY of our customers----and soon, you may be one! When they bring in items for us to purchase, or when we go to their homes to pick up items, we do NOT pry into their personal lives or habits! Now folks, you ARE aware that we sell a LOT of Rotel items, and that we purchase most directly from Rotel. This Stunning RSX-972, however, comes from the home of one of the many Company Execs we know, and it has been used for a total of about One Hour! He purchased it a few years ago (Direct, of course!) for use in a 'Guest Room' Project that, because of the economy, fell by the wayside. Close inspection revelas no marks whatsoever (to our 60 year old eyes), and it looks like it was just taken out of the box! As you would imagine, it is in PERFECT Operating Condition!! And the Sound Quality is, even in 'Surround' Modes, the equal of ANY 2-Channel (Stereo) 'Separates' System from any other manufacturer. It is Dynamic to the 'n'th degree, throws a HUGE Soundstage, and leaves NO Detail Un-Revealed! It's Output is modestly rated at 75-Watts to EACH of the 5 Channels, and THAT figure, folks, is measured WITH ALL CHANNELS DRIVEN!!! To be sure, a quick look at the Rear Panel shows a Power 'Consumption' of over 850 Watts, and 4-OHM Speakers are MORE than welcome! Plus, there are Pre-Outs for ALL Channels, as well as a 5.1 Channel Input. Connections are plentiful, and include EVERYTHING except HDMI. But, as you know if you've been following our listings, we STRONGLY advise connecting the Video portion of your 'Source' (DVD, Cable, SAT, etc.) Directly to your TV/Monitor with an HDMI Cable, and using the appropriate Audio Cable (Optical/Coaxial Digital, Analog) from your source to the receiver. We ALSO have a nice 'Bonus' Treat for you: Instead of the original 969 remote, THIS 972 will have a Brand New Rotel RR-1061 Universal Learning LCD Display Remote! And, it also includes the Original Manual, FM Antenna, and AC Power Cord. Folks, we KNOW there are 'newer' receivers on the market, even a few from Rotel. But, if you can get the SAME or better!) Sound Quality, Functionality, and Connectivity, for much less, why think twice?! Thanks to all for your time and consideration!!
