SPENDOR LS3/5A Speakers BBC MONITORS Matched Pair BLACK PAINT Slightly Tatty Looking! This auction is for a matched pair of monitor loudspeakers Made in the UK under BBC license by Spendor Audio Systems, Sussex, England I reckon these speakers date from the mid to late 1980s They came from a broadcast video suite where they were used as near field monitors CONDITION These monitors are in good working order They sound very good - exactly as sweet as the ls3/5a was designed to The cabinets are in OK condition for speakers that have been used in a professional environment There are some slight digs and dents and plenty of scratches and tape residue marks to the black paint finish So cosmetically they could be improved with a repaint The black nylon covered grills are in good condition The velcro is still remarkably tenacious!
