Up for auction is my Studer Revox, B 215S Cassette Deck in very good/excellent cosmetic and perfect mechanical condition. ...I am sure you know the status and legend of this deck so I wont go on too long about it. The S series was a limited edition, ...came out at the end of the B215 production line, some sources state that selected components have been used. It was a very expensive deck. (3500-DM) I'm the original owner. ... I bought it to match the quality of my Linn / Naim system at the time. ...To me it was either the B215 S or the Nakamichi CR7 A . The robust built of the B215 won. Hardly ever used, (recorded less than 50 cassettes) it's been taken off the rack and stored in it's original box in the last 12 years together with my as new B77 MK11. (coming up for sale as well)........This deck has never been modified, repaired or molested. Cosmetically it has some very light surface marks only as it's been sitting on a Hi Fi rack and than stored in it's original box. ......... PLEASE REFER TO ACTUAL PHOTOS OF ITEM AS THEY IMPORTANT PART OF DESCRIPTION!! I could not test for recording as I do not have a functioning system, but playback through headphones of one of my old cassette sounded perfect. Fast forward, reverse, stop/play pause functions tested and work perfect. This deck is exceptionally clean, the transport mechanism / drive unit and heads are superb. ....A joy to look inside. ... It comes from a smoke/pet free environment complete in it's original box and packaging, manual and power cord. Required voltage can selected by simply turning a switch at the back of unit.
