Vintage Marantz 2285 Receiver in mint condition. This is a pristine piece in beautiful condition. It’s built like a tank; everything works -- including all lights. It has that great Marantz sound they were famous for through the ‘60s and ‘70s. It’s rated at 85 watts per channel with .05% THD. I think those ratings are pretty conservative considering how effortlessly it drives my 4 Ohm PSB speakers. It has an AM/FM tuner with a full array of antenna connections, 2 sets of speaker terminals, two tape loops, a loudness contour switch, concentric bass, mid, and treble controls, two sets of switched speaker terminals, and the gorgeous blue display. I'm not a dealer, just an audiophile whose wife says he's got too much gear. This Marantz has been well kept and lightly used in our clean, non-smoking home. Includes original Marantz shipping carton. Shipping Notes: I like to use UPS because they have the best insurance costs, but I'm happy to use another shipping method, if you prefer.
